He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Russell and Toots; his siblings, Jim R. Buchanan and Verlie Griffin; and also Elizabeth Melsena Buchanan (Bovard).

He is survived by: his daughter Emilee L. Andrew (Dylan) of Columbus, IN; his brother-in-law Kenny Griffin of Vevay, IN; and also, Elizabeth Melzena Buchanan (Bovard) and Zoe. He is also survived by his several nieces and nephews.
