She was predeceased by: her parents, Seth Newland and Grace Clark Newland; and her sister Carol Perry. She is survived by: her husband Lee McGathey; her children, Randal McGathey of Boston and Linda Leszcynski of Columbus; her son-in-law Tony Leszcynski of Columbus; her grandchildren, Grace McGathey, Claire Shappell (Eric), Joe Leszcynski, Sara Leszcynski (Jake Maggard) and Michael Leszcynski (Edina Bailey); and her great grandchildren, Kameron, Charlotte, Xander, Irelynn and Anders.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to The Rock or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 East 17th Street, Columbus, Indiana 47201, cards are also available at the funeral home.
