He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Winterberg and Marie Peters Winterberg; and his siblings, Clarice Palmer, Anita Schindler, Corrine Thompson, Kathleen Baer and David Winterberg.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Woodhead; his children, Nancy Nay (William) of Columbus and Mark Winterberg (Angie) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Josh Nay (Tracy), Valerie Ramirez (Juan) and Alex Nay (Leanne); his great grandchildren, Shelby Nay, Drew Nay and Marlow Nay; and his brother Ivan Winterberg (Julie) of Brunswick, Georgia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family asks that those attending the visitation or celebration of life service, wear masks.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, where he was known as, "The Change Man".
