Marty S. Thomas Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marty S. Thomas of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on October 29, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Spies and Velma Spies (Marr). She is survived by: her husband Steve Thomas; her daughters, Heather Hunter (Mike) of Columbus and Morgan Hunter (Tyler) of Columbus; her stepdaughters, Natalie Black of Columbus and Stephanie Thomas of Columbus; her grandchildren, Brent McInteer, Blake Hunter, Zayn Farr and Skyler Hurt; and her great grandchildren, Melaine McInteer, Everlie McInteer, Gunner McInteer, Walker McInteer, Lillian Hollis and Hattalynn Hayworth.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Rittman Family Funeral Home (3855 25th St, Columbus, IN 47203). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society.
