It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael G. Thayer of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on February 24, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Thayer and Lorene Coles Thayer; and his sister Marilyn L. Burk. He is survived by: his brother James I. Thayer; his niece Tracy Thayer of Columbus; and his nephew Randy Burk (Nina) of Elizabethtown.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or the American Cancer Society.
