He is survived by: his children, Jeremy Thompson (Cindy) of Columbus, Melissa Sailor (Jason) of Franklin and Amanda Blanton (Josh) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Britni McKee, Mya Blanton, Lindsey Thompson, Liam Thompson and Madison Sailor; and his sister Betty Thompson. He is also survived by his parents; his wife.

Memorial donations in Mitch's name may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
