He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Thomas and Ruth Thomas; his daughter Brenda; and his brother Marvin Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his daughter Rhonda Kochert (Tom); his grandchildren, Kalie of Columbus and Luke Kochert of Columbus; and his siblings, Dorothy Caudell (Doug) of Austin, Matt Thomas (Opal) and Raymond Thomas (Martha) of Henryville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice of charity.
