She was predeceased by: her parents, James Carl and Fannie Holland York; her husband Virgil T. Dobbs; her daughter-in-law Sherry Thompson Dobbs; her granddaughter Monica Dobbs; and her siblings, Wallace York, Vivian York Dobbs, Robert York, Eural Nathan York, Marnell York Walker, Cranford York, Dwyane York, Billy Dove Burns, Mamie York Snow and Donniver York.
She is survived by: her children, Justin Dobbs (Donna Byrne Dobbs), Peggy Thomas (Floyd Thomas), Carolyn Piper (John R. Piper Jr.) and Marilyn Neal (Don Neal); her grandchildren, Sheldon J. V. Dobbs, John R. Piper III, Donnie Joe Neal, Jill Piper Mills, Michael D. Neal, Daniel W. Neal, Lydia Neal Stewart, Jonathan L. Thomas, Brian C. Dobbs and Joshua N. Neal; and her siblings, Bonnie Lipsey, Jackie York and Danny York. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.
