He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Carl Helander Sr. and Lorretta Anne Bates Helander; and his sisters, Karen Brady and Janice Helander. He is survived by: his wife Kelly S. Edwards; his sons, Kenneth R. Helander of Pontiac, Benjamin Wesley Helander of Pontiac and Matthew Helander of Columbus; his stepdaughter Laura Sue Mundy of New Albany, Indiana; and his siblings, Bob Helander of Woodland, Kathy McDonald of Peru, Frank Helander of Mechanicsville, Dwayne Helander (Kitty) of Toledo, Ron Helander (Brenda) of Cornell, Linda Korrecta (Don) of Pontiac, Debbie Helander of Odell and Jeff Helander (Amanda) of Taft, Texas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
