He was predeceased by: his grandson Justin O'Connell; his great grandchild Aaden Davis; and his brother-in-law David Shemwell. He is survived by: his wife Carmelita Jump; his children, Cindy Flint (Butch), Tammi Turner (James) and Sherri Henderson (Paul); his sister Carol Shemwell; his grandchildren, Earl Jessica, Cody, Jeffrey, Ashley, Carl, Eve, Chris, Chelsea, Kyle, Adam, Chad and Matthew; and his nieces, Rebekah Wheat (Ryan) and Sarah Meyer. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
