It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruby Katherine Penrose (Columbus, Indiana), born in Shepherdsville, Kentucky, who passed away on March 29, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew DeSpain and Grace Arnold DeSpain; her spouse Leslie Ray Penrose; her son-in-law Harlon "Will" Williams; and her siblings, Mattie Kimball, Frances Massey, Beulah Snyder, Melvin DeSpain, Ruth Sample, Delbert DeSpain, Lillian Mann, Jean Baker, Marie Defler, Earny DeSpain and Judy Morgan.
She is survived by: her daughter Sandra Williams of Columbus; her grandchildren, Alan Williams (Angela Spaugh), Greg Williams (Connie) and Kathy McNicholas (Greg); and her great grandchildren, Evan, Courtney, Morgan Williams, William, Emily Gates, Abigail Williams, Maci Arms and Avery Gates.
Memorials may be made to Petersville United Methodist Church or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
