It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth E. McCallie Hamilton of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on June 23, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy McCallie and Monta Finkel McCallie; her husband Bryan Hamilton; her brother James McCallie; and her close friend Emerson Carter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elaine Worton of Columbus, Maryellen Pollitt (Rick) of Hope, Debbie Garrett of Columbus and Cynthia Hamilton of Greenwood; and her grandchildren, Ian Pollitt (Leslie), Amy Labadie, Travis Garrett (Kristen), Tessa Thorstenson (Steve), Dustin Carter and Piper Spurgeon.
Due to the COVID-19 guidelines the family is requesting a private funeral service be held at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home with the Rev. Marcus D. Speer officiating.
