With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley M. Sims of Columbus, Indiana, born in Franklin, Indiana, who passed away on February 5, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Fox and Laura Hunter Fox; her husband George O. Sims Jr.; and her siblings, Ted, Anderson, Bernard, Rosemary, Nancy and Doris.
She is survived by: her children, Todd Sims (Diane) of Washington, Dana Sims (Maria) of Florida, Ted Sims (Lucretia) of Columbus and Sandy Rankin (Bill) of Columbus; her grandchildren, Bethany Duran (Spencer), Daly Johnson (Matthew), Derek Sims (Stephany), Daniel Sims (Irenia), Ashley Garcia (David), Courtney Daun (Justin), Mallory Prada (Christian), Hunter Sims (Allison), Gabby Sargent (Sean), Kristen, Ben and Seth Rankin; and her sisters, Martha Smith (Dave) of Ohio and Janet Peters of Ohio. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
