He was predeceased by: his parents, David H. Byers and Helen Byers; and his siblings, Steven Byers, Gail Furr and Anita Byers.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Scheidt; his daughter Karla Risser (Duane) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Kathleen Byers of Fishers, Zachary Risser of Columbus and Payton Risser of Columbus; and his siblings, Rebecca Lindquist (Leroy) of Avon and Michael Byers (Janice) of Covington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Together We Live through St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
