It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vance Hege of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on February 19, 2022, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father George Franklin Hege. He is survived by: his mother Elsie Louise Hege (Whittington) of Hope; his children, George Hege (Jenny Lonaker) of Columbus and Stacy Tapke (Trey) of Crestview Hills, Kentucky; his grandsons, Vance Elias Hege of Columbus, Richard H. Tapke IV and Theodore Vance Tapke of Crestview Hills, Kentucky; his stepgrandson Tyler Lonaker of Columbus; his siblings, Cindy Sturgeon (David) of Indianapolis and Mark Hege (Tammy) of Columbus; and his former wife Jayne Hege of Columbus. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
