Velma R. Gearries Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma R. Gearries of Columbus, Indiana, who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Rutan and Ruth Swango Rutan; her husband Norman E. Gearries; and her children, Donald Gearries and Teresa Marie Gearries.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald Gearries (Cheryl) of Columbus, Glen Gearries (Lana) of Columbus, Larry Gearries of Columbus, Debra Riff (Charlie) of Clifford and Patricia Patterson of Columbus; her siblings, Margie Jewell of Columbus and Mavin Rutan of Columbus; and her close friend Liz. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
