He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Long and Irena Long (Haskin); his wife Gloria Long (Seppala); his sons, Kevin and Karl; and his siblings, Melvin and Evelyn.
He is survived by: his children, Renee McCune (Bill), Martin Long (Nancy), Nils Long and Michelle Long (Dale). He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
