He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Whitten and Ethel Whitten; his siblings, Ronald, Jerry (Vesta), Lowell, Gerald Whitten and Joanna Stevens (James); and his close friend Charles W. Caspar.
He is survived by: his sibling's children, Alisa Lutes (Mark) of Brownsburg, Teresa Harrison (Brent) of Cicero, Indiana and Brian Douglas Stevens (Connie) of Centerville, Indiana; and his sister-in-law Fern Whitten of Beech Grove, Indiana.
