It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jean Fessel of Corydon, Indiana, born in New Albany, Indiana, who passed away on November 13, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Lorenzo Byerley and Wilma Toops Byerley; and her siblings, Randy Byerley and Martha Owen. She is survived by : her sons, Jeff Smith (Angie) of Jasper, Lanny Scott Fessel of New Albany and Kyle Fessel (Heather) of Crothersville, Indiana; her grandchildren, Dane, Shea, Bryn Smith, Kaleb Fessel and Braelynn Thornton; her sisters, Vivian Fessel (Russ) of Corydon, Ramona Clark (Art) of Corydon, Kate Burton of Corydon and Lisa Stephens (Boyce) of Salisbury; and her siblings-in-law, Bill Owen of New Albany and Lori Byerley of Salisbury.
