He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Clawson and Helen Clawson (Crowder); his spouse Deletia A. Vanderwalt; his son Gregory Clawson; and his brother-in-law Sam Miller.
He is survived by: his daughter Alice Benson (Phil) of Lafayette, Indiana; his daughter-in-law Jane Clawson of Perrysville, Indiana; his close friend Phyllis Willis of Covington, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jonathan Clawson, Alisha Clawson, Bradley Benson (Andee) and Neil Benson; his great grandchildren, Garrett Clawson and Taylor Kirts; and his siblings, Charlotte Miller of Covington, Martha Shelby (Don) of West Lafayette, Indiana, Dale Clawson (Janice) of Covington, Indiana, Jim Clawson (Wanda) of Veedersburg and Bob Clawson (Faye) of Nacogdoches, Texas..
