With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jay Abbott of Covington, Indiana, born in Collison, Illinois, who passed away on October 4, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Howard Abbott and Eva Abbott; his former life partner Judy; his brother Jack Abbott; his wife Linda Katcher Abbott; his children, Jay Paul Abbott (Charlene), Regina Abbott Fite and Stephanie Katcher; his grandchildren, Travis Jay Abbott, Elizabeth Broussard, Craig Broussard, Andrew Broussard, Jacob Fite and Emily Fite; his great grandchild Travis Jay Abbott II; and his siblings, Gene Abbott (Barb) and Mary Schlueter (Melvin). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
