The memory of Caroline Butler of Crothersville, Indiana, who passed away on October 6, 2025 at the age of 96, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Lacey and Ida Lacey (Rubenaker); her husband Dr. Joe Butler; and her siblings, Thomas "Tom" Lacey and Elaine Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Butler of Crothersville, IN, Betsy Petty (Andy) of Crothersville, IN, Randy Butler (Donna) of Seymour, IN, Dr. Dan Butler (Erin) of Middletown, OH, Kim Hunter (Kelly) of Lexington, KY and Tim Butler (Jeong-Hee) of Daegu; and her grandchildren, Ashlee Butler, Aimee England (Mitch), Ben Bowman, Marc Bowman, Lacey Howard (Matt), Evan Petty (Georgia), Cory Butler (Annabelle), Cameron Butler (Anna), Joe Butler, Chris Butler, Cyia Butler, Dalton Butler, Sarah Butler, Jacob Hunter, Lauren Hunter, Hannah Butler and Grace Butler. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory (110 E Howard St, Crothersville, IN 47229). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations in honor of Caroline may be made to Gideons International or Samaritan's Purse.
