He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer Gelarden and Nora Gelarden (Goffinet); his wife Geneva C. Dupont; his sons, Mark Gelarden (Dorothy Ann) of Evanston, Daniel Gelarden of Evanston and James Gelarden (Jennifer) of Evanston; his daughter-in-law Pearl Gelarden of Fulda; and his children, Michael Gelarden and Madonna Kay Gelarden. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
