She was predeceased by: her parents, Theresa Gries (Schmitt) and Peter Gries; her husband Cletus Rexing; her daughters, Marilyn Payne and Barbara Rexing; and her siblings, Albert, John, Joseph, Adam, Sylvester, William Gries, Kathyrn (Clement Knapp), Margaret Knapp (Edward), Lorine Gries, Rose Adler (Vincent) and Mary Steckler (Gilbert).
She is survived by: her sons, Lawrence (Jemma) of Lafayette, IN, Steven (Ellen) of Dale, Gerald (Gloria) of Cumming, GA and Erwin (Jane) of Rock Hill, SC; her son-in-law John Payne of Dale; her daughters, Joan Effinger (Charles) of Plainfield, IN, Brenda Rexing and Connie Rexing of Anderson, IN; her brother Alvin Gries (Rita) of Poseyville; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Rexing (Herman), Anita Marie Rexing (Joe) and Anna Mae Gries (Wiliam) of Evansville. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 31 great grandchildren.
Due to COVID 19 restrictions, visitation will be private.
