He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Ellis and Blanche Ellis (Hess); his brother George Ellis; his sister-in-law Fay Ellis; his son-in-law Russ Congleton; and his stepson Ronnie Rowe.
He is survived by : his wife Joan L. Ellis; his children, Bob Ellis (Susie) of Dana, Roger Ellis (Pam) of Chrisman and Nancy Congleton of Durham; his grandchildren, Carly Delp (Lance), Chad Ellis (Shannon), Natalie Sheehy (Brian), Justin "Zack" Congleton (Jessica), Brant Congleton and Lucas Congleton; his siblings, Helen Johnson (Jim) and Phil Ellis (Joyce); his stepdaughter Rene Anderson (Gene) of Clinton; and his stepgrandchildren, Nicole Brown (Jeremy), Seth Rowe (Brooke), Dan Rowe (Faith) and Dalton Rowe. He is also survived by 3 step-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
