It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lewis James Collier of Danville, Indiana, born in Bedford, Indiana, who passed away on June 3, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sherman and Mary Collier (Hamilton); and his son James Edward Collier. He is survived by: his wife Wilma; his children, Linda Lou Collier of Greencastle, Charles Lewis Collier (Debra) of Bainbridge, Jerry Lynn Collier of North Salem and Cathy Elaine Earles of Mooresville; his daughter-in-law Rachel Collier of Danville; and his brother Frank Collier of Jeffersonville, IN.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 VIRUS situation, a private graveside service will be held Monday, June 8, 2020 at Clayton Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife of 60 years, Wilma.
