He was predeceased by: his sister Jane. He is survived by: his spouse Renee Ann Schaafsma; his children, Michael (Amy), Daniel (Jamie), Anne McKeown (Ian) and Corinne (Anthony Balbo); his grandchildren, Paige, Jacob, Lucas, Hayden and Shane; and his sister Carol VanderJack (Ted).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
