With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Morgan U. Smith Jr. of Deputy, Indiana, who passed away on May 28, 2020 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Myrtle Louise Copeland Smith and Morgan Uley Smith, Sr.; his daughter Stephanie Lee Smith Watterson; his sister Brenda Smith; his nephews, Larry Gene Wood, Jr. and Shawn Eric Wood; and his brother-in-law Harry Leach.

He is survived by : his grandson Chad; his wife Inez Marie Fox Smith of Deputy, Indiana; his son Chad Smith (Jackie) of Deputy, Indiana; his grandson Joshua Lee Watterson (Kimi); his great grandchild Owen Worley; his stepgrandchildren, Tyler Bush and Kera Bishop; his siblings, Penny Leach of Canaan, Aggie Giesler (Bobby) of Washington, Wanda Ferrell of Benham, Indiana, Ronald Smith (Brenda) of Canaan, Samuel Earl Smith (Trudy) of Versailles, Donald Smith (Rhonda) of Madison and Mike Smith of Canaan, Indiana; his sisters-in-law, Connie Fox Beach (Leslie) and Donna Fox Snell (Roger) of Hanover, Indiana; his uncle Roy Smith of Canaan, Indiana; and his aunts, Florence Haskell of Vevay and Frances Lucille Robbins of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
