He was predeceased by : his parents, Floyd A. James and Lynna Eador James; his son Michael L. James; his brothers, Robert Eugene James and Dr. Carroll F. James; his siblings-in-law, Clarence Monroe, Margaret Monroe and Betty June Monroe; and his nephew Alan James.
He is survived by : his son Russ, Jr.; his wife Helen Marie Monroe James of Deputy, Indiana; his children, Russell G. James, Jr. (Cheryl Ann) of Sachse, Texas and Christine Box (Pat) of Hanover, Indiana; his daughter-in-law Diana James of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jennifer Cooley (Andrew), Angela Stout (Jeremy), April James, Patrick Box (Samantha), Amy Smith, Sarah Williams, Quentin Tartock and Andrew James; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Blake, Lylah, Willow, Taylor, McKenna, Brendon and Shelby; his great great grandchild Novalyn; his sister Lynna Roberts (William Roberts) of Dumfries, Virginia; and his sisters-in-law, Imogene James of North Vernon, Elizabeth James of Springfield and Charlotte Sherman of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
