With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Flores of East Chicago, Indiana, who passed away on October 19, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Maria find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her husband Heriberto Flores; her parents, Librado Torres and Mercedes Torres; and her siblings, Dolores Torres, Ofelia Duran, Chela Navarro and Jesus Torres.
She is survived by: her children, Heriberto Flores (Oralia), Norma Sanchez (Manuel S.), Armando Flores (Robin), Arturo Flores (Doreen) and Marisa Muñoz (Oscar). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Burns Kish Funeral Homes & Cremations - Munster (8415 Calumet Ave, Munster, IN 46321). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (3810 Grand Blvd, East Chicago, IN 46312).
