Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Salvador Del Rio of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, who passed away at the age of 84, on August 19, 2025. He was predeceased by: his great-grandparent Isaiah Jr.; his father Manuel (Consuelo); his wife Elisa Del Rio; and his siblings, Ignacio, Rosa, Margarita, Manuel, Dolores, Jesus, Josefina and Luis.
He is survived by: his children, Rosalia Hernandez (Greg), Jaime Del Rio (Jihad), Angel Del Rio (Nickie) and Martin Del Rio (Marisol); his grandchildren, Anjelica, Yvette, Juanita, Samir, Suraya, Manuel, AnaElisa, Xavier and Eva Luna; his great grandchild Jiovanni; and his siblings, Aurora, Carmen and Consuelo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fife Funeral Home (4201 Indianapolis Blvd, East Chicago, IN 46312). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Church (802 W 144th St, East Chicago, IN 46312).
