He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Stroup and Mary Stroup (Haskins); his sister Carol Hart; his stepgrandson Nicholas Fager; and also Mary E. Birky.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his children, Karen Radcliff (John) of Amherst, Ohio, Michael Stroup (Debbie) of Howe, Indiana and Mark Stroup of Howe, Indiana; his grandchildren, Lawrence Stroup, Aaron Stroup, Nathan Stroup, Kevin Radcliff and Shelby Radcliff; his great grandchildren, Isabella, Anabella, Levi, Noah and Benjamin Stroup; his stepchildren, Susan Windsor (Steve) of Mishawaka, Indiana, Glenn Emmons of Elkhart and George Sweezy of Orange, Texas; his stepgrandchildren, Bekka Oxley, Leeah Killingbeck and Tammy Davis; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Max, Maya Davis and Elyssa Smith; and his sister Arlis Martin of Nevada. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic and the limitations of gatherings private graveside services and burial will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
