She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Coleman and Bertha Coleman (McGuire); and her siblings, Bessie Atkins, Beulah M. Robinson, Sylvia Prader, Della Coleman, Cary Henderson, Mary Byers, Ida Coleman, Danny E. Thacker, Kenneth Thacker, Paul Thacker and Donald Thacker.
She is survived by: her husband John Byers; her children, Stacey Curtis (Steve) of Elkhart and Tim Meade (Kay) of Elkhart; her grandchildren, Mikey Meade, Scott Curtis and Stefanie Curtis; and her brother Jimmy Thacker. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
