He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Sutterby and Goldia Sutterby (Givens); his sister Brenda Ward; and his grandsons, Justin and Klayton Sutterby.

He is survived by: his wife Marsha Sutterby (Whitesell); his sons, Nicholas Sutterby (Annie), Daniel Sutterby (Kelly) and Shane Ivens; his grandchildren, Kohen, Theodore Sutterby, Alycia Allen and Brooklyn Ivens; his sister Terri Smith; and his pets, Ruby and Gunner.
