He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederic C. Holmes and Katherine L. Holmes (Spinney); and his brother Milton C. Holmes. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen A. Cannon (Curtis); his children, Katherine Kiley, William C. Holmes of Elkhart, Gregory C. Holmes (Sherri) of Edwardsburg, MI and Kiley H. Wood (Matthew) of Granger, IN; his grandchildren, Curtis Lee Holmes, Madison K. Meadows (Austin), Kacey L. Wood and Mackenzie K. Wood; his great grandchild Maelynn R. Meadows; and his sibling's children, Zachary C. Holmes and Cassandra L. Holmes-Tuller. He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
