He was predeceased by: his parents, James O. McCarty and Fern McCarty (Hartman); his wife Mary E. McCarty (Stouder); and his son David McCarty Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Kathy McCarty (Charles Grimes); his grandchildren, Krystal and Steven McCarty (Amber) of Elkhart; his great grandchildren, Jacob Prieto, Rayne and Xander McCarty; and his daughter-in-law Hope McCarty of Pennsylvania.
