She was predeceased by: her parents, Nancy Jane Vance and Compton; her spouse Gale G. Howard; and her siblings, Vadie Ratliff, Lloyd, Oliver, Roland, Delmer Vance and William Vance.
She is survived by: her sons, David Howard (Julia) of Elkhart, James Howard (Carol) of Milton, GA and Michael Howard (Lori) of West Lafayette. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
