We are sad to announce that on January 14, 2022, at the age of 85, Dona Caroline Stout of Elkhart, Indiana, born in Los Angeles, California passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Dona Caroline Stout to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Timothy J. Collins and Irma E. Sandberg; her stepfather George W. Sandberg; and her sister Sharri Carpenter. She is survived by: her children, Janet Sonam (Rin) of Elkhart, Thomas (Suzy) of Elkhart and Mark Stout of Elkhart; her siblings, Kerry Sandberg (Peggy) of Wabash and Penelope "Penny" Bovenkerk (Paul) of Cameron Park, CA; her grandchildren, Ryen, Rachel Sonam (Keith), Alex Haney, Elliot Denton and Bailey Howard (Colin); her great grandchildren, Cayden, Camden Howard, Mason and Frederick Denton; and her pet Otis. She is also survived by loving extended family, friends, neighbors.
Dona's family has politely requested that face masks are strongly encouraged but not required.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Pet Refuge Animal Shelter, 4626 S. Burnett Drive, South Bend, IN 46614, or to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
