He is survived by: his children, Eddie C. Detwiler of Elkhart and April Van Giesen of Alabama; his stepsons, Roger G. (Gay) of Elkhart, Darren L. Eby (Christine) of Elkhart, Roy Swoape (Jill) of Portage and Damon Swoape (Nicole) of Elkhart; his siblings, David Detwiler (Debbie) of Bristol, Ken Detwiler of Lake Placid, Florida, Mary Butcher of Elkhart, Cindy Bontrager (Gary) of Elkhart, Bonnie Nicolai of Goshen and Patty Carpenter (John) of Goshen; his grandchildren, Taylor, Alex, Shawn, Brock, Dalton and Cole; and his great grandchild Kian. He is also survived by loving extended family, good friends, in-laws.
