He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Grays Sr. and Margaret Jones; his brothers, Elmer, Michael and John Gray; and his pet Lucky.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Gray (Steele); his children, Ura Gray, Anthony Gray (Gloria), Alice Brown, Alvin Steele (Ivy), Doris Means (Tim) and Charli Echols; his siblings, Charles Grays (Liz), Earl Gray (Ruby), Sherman Booker, Margaret House, Linda Jefferson (Lamar) and Belinda Hodges (Rusty); and his grandchildren, Arache Gray, Jazma Johnson, Riche Gray, James Gray, RaiQuelle Gray, Anthony Gray Jr., Aidan Gray, Alvin Steele II, Mykal Steele, Paris Woods, Demi Woods, Daylee Woods, Marquis Echols and Sydnee Echols. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
