It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Simon of Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on January 12, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert James Sr. and Ruby Simon (Conklin); his children, David Eugene Simon and Lisa L. Simon; and his siblings, Jerry, George, Elbert Pugh, Alberta Morris and Juanita Simon.
He is survived by: his wife Violet A. Simon (Tyler-Smith); his children, Earnest Simon, Jr., Christopher D. Simon, Miriam L. Simon, Holliday, Norman L. Wilson and Michelle L. Anderson; and his siblings, Robert Sr. (Dorothy), Dollie Pledger and Geneva Shaw (Bennie Sr). He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held privately due to Covid restrictions.
