He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thelbert Whitener and Lula Mae Whitener; his wife Maggie of Washington; his sister Durethe Whitener; and his sibling's children, Felicia Whitener, Tellys Whitener, Michael Whitener, Daquan Whitener, Ciniah Cotton, Randal Anderson (Lagenita), Darrell Green, Drasha Green and Lamont Green.
