It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Gastel of Elkhart, Indiana, who passed away on November 17, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean Gastel to pay them a last tribute.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Michna and Julia Michna; her siblings, Helen Sonnier of Houston Texas and Raymond Michna; her former husband Albert David Kollat (Ab); her children, Roger J. Kollat (Diane) of Elkhart and Kathleen Jean Honaker (Martin) of Versailles, KY.; her siblings' children, Bonnie Guestow of Deerfield, Sally Myhre of Osolo, Norway, David T. Kollat of Columbus and Ned W. Cadwell of Houston, TX.; and her husband John W. Gastel. She was also cherished by 26 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Jean requested donations be made to Breast Cancer Research or Hubbard Hill.
