He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Vance and Neva Vance (Hoke); his sons, Robert and Jeffrey Jr.; and his brother Pat Vance.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Vance (Brubaker) of Elkhart; his children, Valerie Rodgers (Rick) of Elkhart, Jim Vance (Kristen) of Elkhart, Joe Vance (Patti) of Goshen and Bryan Vance (Jill) of Bedford; his siblings, Cheryl Bowman of Boulder, Debra Jones (Paul) of Goshen, Michael Vance (Sandy) of New Paris and Timothy Vance (Trish) of South Bend; and his sister-in-law Susan Vance of North Manchester. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given to Creekside Church of the Brethren or Camp Mack for camper scholarships.
