She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald T. Kirkpatrick and Inez L. Kirkpatrick (Spencer); her husband Robert "Bob" Mortimer; her stepdaughter Denise Swaim; her great grandchild Brooklynn Dunbar; and her daughter-in-law Julia Sams.
She is survived by: her children, Robin Sams of Dowagiac, MI., Becki Dunbar of Elkhart and Ron Sams of Elkhart; her brother Twyman Donald Kirkpatrick of El Paso, TX; and her stepchildren, Stanley J. Swaim (Trish) of Wichita, KS, Kevin G. Swaim of Indianapolis, IN and Jo-Ann Mortimer-Paulson (David) of Elkhart. She is also survived by 50 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
