He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Helen Schneider and Dale Schneider; his wife JoAnn Dittrich; his children, Denise Haley (Bill Nusbaum), Brian Schneider (Cindy), Bruce Schneider (Robin) and Randy Schneider (Julie); his grandchildren, Taylor (Tanner), Matthew (Dylann), Blake, Connor, Drew, Aly Beckmann (Tommy) and Amanda (Jesse Hershberger); his great grandchildren, Michael and Amelia; and his brother Vaughn Schneider (Amy Burmeister).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Center for Hospice, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
