She is survived by: her parents, Jose Mendez and Julianna Mendez of Elkhart; her brother Sergio Mendez; and her grandparents, Julia, David Workman of Syracuse, Jose and Ana Mendez of Niles. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
