With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mercedes Quinones of Elkhart, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 4, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Mercedes is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Mercedes' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugenio Quinones and Maria Camacho; her husband Miguel Carrillo; and her sons, Miguel Carrillo and Angelo Carrillo.
She is survived by: her daughters, Theresa Carrillo (Luis Mass) of Elkhart, IN and Yolanda Carrillo of Elkhart, IN; and her brother Johnny Avila (Miltilde) of Queens, NY.. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 9. 5 great-great-grandchildren.
