She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard C. Prickett and Susan M. Prickett (Tukey). She is survived by: her husband Dr. Lawrence J. Smith. She is also survived by four children, twelve grandchildren and her twin sister.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Penny may be made to McCoy Memorial Baptist Church 134 St. Clair Ave. Elkhart, IN 46516.
