He is survived by: his parent Exa Sue Rodriguez (Simmons); his children, Richard Earl Smith (Lauren Rody) of Elkhart, Kristy Ann Parsons (Derek) of Elkhart, Erik Lewis Smith of Rochester, IN and Hope Hawver of Michigan; his siblings, Jerry Smith (Silvia) of Crown Point, IN and Linda Mola (Jeff) of Portage, IN; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Alexa, Audrey and Avery.
